I meet with a lot of homeowners as they are planning major renovations. Whether it’s a new roof or solar paneling, it’s a big investment. I want to assure you that it’s totally understandable to be a little nervous about allowing a crew of strangers into your home.

Recently, I’ve been spending time spotlighting nearby cities where Mr. Roofing loves to work. Today, I’m at it again. This time, it’s beautiful Belmont, California.

We spent some time last month blogging about the perks and benefits of installing solar panels. Today, we are making a major announcement. Mr. Roofing and Solar Universe are now offering the installation of Wink. You know the saying, “Work smarter, not harder.

Today we are exploring another great city: Hillsborough, California. Part of the Peninsula, this city was established in 1910 and is now home to about ten thousand residents in just six square miles. Hillsborough’s history is a pretty fascinating story.

How long has it been since you went back to high school? Junior high? Recently, I was asked to speak at two different schools. The occasion was career day, and it was so much fun to share my journey with these fantastic students.

In our continuing quest to highlight all the cities that we work in, today’s little tour takes us to Burlingame, CA. The facts: Burlingame only takes up about six square miles and the population hovers just under 30,000. It’s bordered by Millbrae and Hillsborough, California.

Most people assume that Benjamin Franklin is credited with coming up with the idea of daylight savings time. But, it was actually a 19th Century entomologist by the name of George Vernon. Vernon had a day job at the local post office in New Zealand.

As part of our ongoing series, we’ve been highlighting the history of the cities we work in. Today we are looking at Pacifica, California. While the city of Pacifica is only about twelve square miles, it boasts a population of 38,606 people and three fantastic beaches.

Whenever I have a conversation with a customer about installing Solar Panels, I like to watch the look on their faces when I start explaining all the benefits. It’s a look that says, “It’s too good to be true. There must be a catch.” The thing is, the benefits of solar paneling are that great!

On January 9th, 2015 I headed to the East Coast for the Certified Contractors Network’s Annual Winter Conference. I stayed at the Tampa Westin Harbor Island, which was awesome, and had the chance to network with all sorts of contracting professionals, from all over the country.
