Thanksgiving is all about traditions and family, right… It’s also about getting on that ladder and lighting your home for Christmas...safely! You may not be as obsessed as Clark Griswold from National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, but surely those twinkle lights put you in the mood for some holiday cheer!

Mr Roofing Christmas Lights

Let’s Light Up the Night

There are tons of different options for lighting the exterior of your home…

Net lights make quick work of shrubbery, or go big with animated scenes on your roof. Maybe you are a less is more kind of person - all white lights are a classic. There is nothing wrong with a classic!

You may not need 30,000 lights on your house but you do need to be safe while on the roof!

Be Safe Out There, Kids!

Because we are in the roofing business, we feel that it’s our job to say a few things about roof safety. Just three things:

First of all, be sure to use the right tools for the job: a sturdy ladder will save you lots of pain in the long run!

Make sure you are using the correct amount of power. There is no need to take out the power on an entire city block. You want people to like your holiday cheer, not despise you.

Of course, use the correct lights - waterproof, outdoor lights… these are easier to see from the street and won’t cause a fire which is never a good thing.

Ok, we made it through the christmas light hanging safety lecture. As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.
