In a recent press release, the California Public Utilities Commission “ordered the water companies under its jurisdiction to provide direct notice to their customers of mandatory water use restrictions and potential fines in response to the State Water Resources Control Board’s Emergency Regulation for Statewide Water Conservation.” This comes as no surprise; we are in the midst of a drought.

What Does the Drought Mean for Us?

l-3-300x225In the roofing industry, the end of summer is the busiest time of year. Even the worst contractors out there are booked.

According to this Angie’s List article, “The busiest time of year for most roofing companies is usually late summer through the fall months. Sometimes it gets so busy that many homeowners will have to wait up to a month, and that’s if they can find a reliable roofing company to replace their roof.

A Friendly Reminder

We know, we know… you don’t call a roofer until you absolutely need one. But planning ahead with a company you can trust is the best plan.

Consider this a little reminder: although we are in a drought, the “wet/cold season” is on its way—don’t put off your roofing repairs.
